Cross Country Carnival
What an absolute delight it was to see everyone participating so well in our Cross Country Carnival last Thursday. The weather was kind to us and the whole atmosphere was just lovely as people cheered and encouraged everyone to have a go and do their best. What really struck me was how everyone was looking for ways to be helpful and to support our younger students.
I would especially like to recognise one of our Grade 6 students, Leino, who stopped to support one of his classmates whilst running.
The comment he made was, “I’d rather help a friend than have a ribbon.”
This shows such great compassion, empathy, maturity and comradery….and he still managed to win a ribbon! Congratulations Leino.
