The first day of Term 3, Monday 25 July, is a Student Free Day.

This day is set aside by the Department of Education for schools to undertake professional learning. All teachers and teacher assistants will be undertaking training in the 3rd module of the Berry Street Education Model. The first 2 modules were undertaken in 2021 and the final module will take place in 2023. This training is being undertaken as part of a Huon Cluster of Schools project.

The Berry Street Education Model provides strategies for teaching and learning that enables teachers to increase engagement of students with complex, unmet learning needs and to successfully improve all students’ self-regulation, relationships, wellbeing, growth and academic achievement.
