Book Week and Fair 2022

We would like to invite families to our Book Week celebrations. This year’s theme is ‘Dreaming with Eyes Open’.
Book Week Parade – 5th September
Our dress up parade is on Monday 5th September at 9:00am.
The staff at Glen Huon decided it would be lots of fun to dress up as characters from books written by Australian Authors. Have fun creating a character from your child’s favourite book. You may choose any character from a book of your choice or you may like to join the staff with the Australian Author theme. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful book characters appearing at school ready for the book parade.
If you would like to join us at the parade please RSVP to the office by Friday 2nd August. Physical distancing must be maintained.
Book Fair – 5th September to 9th September
This year we will be holding a book fair for parents to purchase books from Scholastic. The Book Fair will be open after the parade on Monday and then every morning that week from 8:30am to 9:00am. Children will visit the fair with their teacher on Tuesday 30th August and will write a ‘Wish List’ that will list some of the books that they are keen to buy. If you cannot attend the fair you can purchase books from this Wish List online and bring the payment receipt number back to collect the books. You are under no obligation to buy the books listed on the Wish List, it is just an opportunity for you to purchase books online if you cannot make it into school.
