Students were visited by Riisa-sensei last Thursday to learn about the Obon Festival and Soran Bushi dance. At the same time students were able to demonstrate their Japanese abilities by reading books in Japanese to Riisa and each other, and by introducing themselves and their friends. Students also learnt the difference between kimono and yukata, including how and when we wear these traditional clothes. There were lots of smiling faces and we look forward to having Riisa-sensei at school over the next few Thursdays.
