Bush Food
On Wednesday this week the Prep class was lucky to have Bron come along and teach us about bush foods as part of some work she is doing with each class. It was just so wonderful to see the children so engaged and involved and best of all, keen to try bush foods! Bron taught us all about where Tasmanian bush foods can be sourced, how to prepare them and how to use them in other recipes. Best of all, she had made us some amazing damper, dip and crackers using bush foods that we all were able to try! The flavours of the different foods and drinks were amazing and I will confess to spending my recess break ordering milled kunzea, milled wattleseed and Tassie bush dukkah to use at home for my family!
