Principal's Report
Wishing everyone a very happy and safe holiday.
Sadly we are farewelling Mrs Tollner and Mrs Yeates at the end of this term. Mrs Tollner has been filling in as our Music teacher whilst Ms Gray has been on maternity leave. Since the beginning of this year Mrs Tollner is also working 3 days at Mt Nelson Primary School and has decided that this is keeping her quite busy enough. Mrs Tollner, it was lovely being able to welcome you into our school. Thank you for the wonderful musical opportunities you have provided our school. The music sharing assemblies, Marimba Mania, the special recorder group, Final Assembly items and most recently the drama performance have been just fantastic and Mt Nelson is very lucky to have you.
Mrs Simone Watson will be stepping in as our Music Teacher for the remainder of the 2023 school year.
Mrs Yeates, you stepped into an enormous role within our school, taking on the vacancy left when Miss Webb farewelled us at the end of last year. You have spent the past 2 terms getting to know not only our students, staff and school community, but also our computer data systems, our moderation processes and our system as a whole. Thank you for the expertise and support you have provided students, teachers and families. We wish you all the very best for the future.
Mrs Kristy Woolley has won the Advanced Skills Teacher position in our school which was advertised earlier in the term.
Mrs Woolley comes to us with many years of experience and will be overseeing Student Support and Inclusion within our school, as well as taking on the Safeguarding Lead Role which Mrs Steenholdt had been undertaking for Terms 1 and 2.
We look forward to welcoming Mrs Watson and Miss Woolley next term.
