Some people may be wondering what happens at school on a student free day…well, this is what it looks like when the adults in the school switch roles and become the learners for the day.

On Monday the staff team completed the 4^th module of training on the Berry Street Education model for Trauma Informed Practice.

We joined online with Huonville Primary and High School, Cygnet Primary School, Dover District High School and Geeveston Primary School to undertake a day of learning. We explored values, strengths, hope and gratitude;  how we can support our students to explore and learn about these, and how we can use these to strengthen the way we get along with and seek to understand each other.

The Huon Cluster of schools started the Berry Street Journey back at the start of 2021 with the intention being to undertake the 4 modules across 2 years, however COVID threw a spanner in the works and so it has taken us a little longer than expected to access the 4 training sessions.
