Schools tend to have a lot of acronyms. PLT and QTC are just two that you might hear.

PLT stands for ‘Professional Learning Team’ and QTC stands for ‘Quality Teaching Coach’.

Introducing Kylie Van Klink who works in our school as Quality Teaching Coach (QTC) on Mondays and as part of this role she leads our grade 4/5/6 Professional Learning Team (PLT).

Kylie LOVES books and reading. She is also a fantastic artist amongst other things. Check out the spectacular library wall she has at home!

All our PLTs this year are focussing on using our PAT test Reading data and other data sources to really drill down into the areas of strength, weakness and growth our students have in reading and to then do some explicit teaching to help lift your child’s reading.

We will continue to share information about what our PLTs are doing and our focus on reading throughout the rest to the year.
