A further reminder that a Whole School Assembly will be held next Monday 1st July at 1.50pm. Please come along and help us celebrate our achievements. Reports will be coming home on Friday please make use of the following week to have a parent/teacher discussion with your child's teacher as these meetings are an important part of the reporting process.
The following quote is interesting it reminds us of the importance of play in helping children to learn. "Scientists have recently determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain - unless it is done with play, in which case, it takes between 10 and 20 repetitions." Dr Karyn Purvis, author of the Connected Child. Staff through their professional learning are exploring ways to bring play and inquiry to learning in the school environment.
Enjoy the winter days and the special crispness they bring to life. Talk to your child about the seasons, there is a lot to wonder about and learn from them.
