In 1-2 we read this amazing book called Du Iz Tak. It is a book written in buglish (bug language) and tells the story of a community of bugs making a new discovery. Miss Oxley challenged us to see if we could decode the meaning of the text using its clues. Here is a page from the book. Can you work out what they are saying?

Here are some hints.

• Isabelle: Look at what their faces look like, how might they be feeling?
• Norah: Use the picture as the biggest clue.
• Dash: Look at the first phrase, they have used a question mark. What might this mean?
• Casey and Hannah: Look at what both insects are doing. They are pointing at something.
