Dioramas on Display
Preps have finished their living things dioramas and they have been on display near the staff room. Congratulations Preps on the way you thought through what environment your chosen animal lived in, and how you would represent this in your diorama. Working in pairs gave the students the opportunity to discuss their ideas and to work together to solve any problems they came across in planning how to work from the back of the diorama box to the front to create a three dimensional effect.
Preps have also been ‘weather watching’. We have looked long and hard at the sky each day for one week. We looked at what symbols are and why we use them, particularly in relation to sending messages about what the weather may be in the coming days and weeks.
We are always grateful when parents are able to support the students’ learning by using their skills and knowledge. Megan Perkins is a dental hygienist who is passionate about sharing her knowledge with young students. Thank you, Megan, for offering to come into Kinder/Prep to help our young students understand how to look after their teeth.
