School Satisfaction Surveys
Annual School Satisfaction Surveys for parents and staff are being conducted during August/September 2019 across Tasmanian government schools.
The surveys provide an opportunity for parents and staff to give important feedback on what the school does well and where we can improve. Questions cover a range of topics about our school.
All responses are secure and anonymous.
Parents and staff are invited to participate.
Parents will have received a letter last week.
We encourage you to complete the survey to give our school a clear direction for future programs and services for students.
IMPORTANT: In 2019 all students will be undertaking a Wellbeing Survey that will incorporate elements of the Satisfaction Survey.
Please contact the office if you wish to use a school computer to complete the survey.
As I type this article we have two teams of students heading to Kingston for a volley ball tournament. At Glen Huon we strive to have our students engaged in many varied activities.
Our staff are continuing their learning in the re-focus teaching initiative. Inquiry learning has been a great focus. Today in assembly the children were asked to notice changes in their environment because of the change of the seasons. They are encouraged to become great observers of the world around them. It is a challenge to help them notice without noticing for them. The power of interest can drive learning.
Did you know our teachers meet fortnightly in teaching teams to plan together and support each other in ensuring that the learning needs of all our students are met.
