In Prep we had a visit from Pippa’s dad who helped us explore different types of force and pressure. We had two cups joined by a tube and we saw what happened when we poured water into one of the cups or held the cups at different heights. Two identical tubs balanced beautifully on a pulley until water was poured into one of the tubs! Then the full one crashed to the floor while the empty one rose right up to the pulley!

Mr Loberto had a HUGE syringe, and when he covered the end with his finger we each had a turn at pulling out the plunger. It was very difficult. We had great fun participating and thinking about why things happen. Thank you Mr Loberto.
