News from Grade 4/5
The students have settled really well into their new school year and are adapting to new routines and expectations. We have been getting to know each other by playing a variety of ice breaker games and by completing a number of written activities sharing information about ourselves.
Our class quilt (below) is an example of this.
We have completed measurement activities in Maths and have investigated “Am I a square or a rectangle?” We have begun work on a Science unit titled “Beneath our feet.” We are developing understandings about the geology of Earth. We will be researching various landscapes and how the Earth has been shaped by the forces of nature and human interactions.
So I would definitely say we are back into the swing of it and enjoying learning and interacting with each other.
