Principal's Report 31-03-2020
For this week and next week teachers are preparing for learning in a different way for Term 2. As a result you will receive e-mails from them and invites to join CANVAS an on-line learning platform. If you have not received an e-mail from your teacher by the end of this week please contact us and let us know as we will need to update our data base. If possible could you also try to log onto CANVAS using the user name and password on the yellow slip that went home in the learning packs. This will allow us to get off to a flying start in Term 2.
Of course we are all learning and we might not get it right the first time, however, as we say to our students it is great to get it wrong so we can learn from that. The important thing is we will work very hard to keep our community connected in any way possible.
Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher by e-mail and if you need to talk please ring the school. We are here to support in any way we can.
All of us are living in a time that will become a significant historical event. It is important to realise that this is unique and our personal experiences of this time need to be recorded. In the future academics and researchers will be looking back to this moment in history to reflect on it’s impact. Help these future researchers by keeping a personal diary of the experience. One of the most valuable activities for each child is for them to share their perspective on the events and to record them for the future.
School holidays for students start next Monday 6th April.
