Garden Maths
Who has been planting, weeding, exploring in their garden at home? There’s so many Mathematical opportunities out in that environment! What activities could you include on a list of Garden Maths?
Here’s some snail maths to keep you challenged.
“Two snails found themselves at the bottom of a deep well. The well was 15.3 metres deep.
Each day the snails struggled up 180 centimetres and then stopped to rest. While they were resting the snails slid down 300 millimetres“.
How long before they reached the top of the well?
Can you draw me a diagram to capture their wild ride up and down the well?
Maybe a table to track the slips and climbs.
Or a description with numbers or words to ‘convince me of your answer’.
