Sickness
We are being guided by public health it is important that children are not sent to school with any signs of a cold. This is to help stop the spread of any illness. It is a directive of public health and will continue into Term 3. The poster below reminds us of how to protect ourselves from COVID.
Term 3
The end of Term 2 is Friday 3rd July. We are looking forward to a very well earned break. Take time to look after yourselves, relax and re-group. It has been a very busy and at times challenging term for us all. I mentioned at the School Association meeting that I am really appreciative of the way in which the community supported us through a unique time and that we worked together to support our children. I thank-you all for the efforts you have made to ensure our community has remained strong.
Monday 20th July is a Professional Learning day for staff we are focusing on numeracy and how to improve learning outcomes in this area.
As restrictions ease we will not have to continue stop drop and go procedures that we have undertaken this term. You will be welcome to walk your children into the school grounds and see them to their classrooms. At pick up time you will also be able to come into the school grounds and pick up your children. Physical distancing of keeping 1.5 metres apart applies to adults onsite.
We will be able to hold our assemblies, parents who intend to come will need to let the office know so that seating can be arranged that meets the distancing requirements.
The department has collated a guide for parents in regards to term 3. Follow this link to access it, https://www.education.tas.gov.au/parents-carers/novel-coronavirus-covid-19/learning-at-school-parents-and-carers-guide/
A letter from the secretary is also coming today with the eldest child in the family.
I look forward to a vibrant Term 3 with our school becoming more active as we are able to undertake more of our normal activities. Have a great holiday.
