Children's University Tasmania
Today’s morning assembly was a special day for our Children’s University students as they were presented with their Passports to Learning. Mr Sean Stevenson from the Menzies Institute came to speak to the school about Children’s University: students choose activities outside school tuition time ie during breaks at school, after or before school or on weekends, ones that they are interested in. They then enter the activity in their passports and have them signed off by the Glen Huon Primary co-ordinator Ms Dorian.
When they have completed 30 hours of activities, each student can graduate – a ceremony to recognise their achievement. Of course this year things are a bit different because of COVID 19, but there are so many ways they can follow their interests and be recognised for this.
Congratulations to our four students for taking on the Children’s University challenge!
