Principal's Report 11/08/2020

Dear Families

When I wrote last week’s newsletter I had no idea that just a few hours later many of us would be scrambling to make it home safely, watching snow fall and getting to build snowmen in the backyard! Whilst it created a bit of disruption, I am very pleased that everyone was able to stay safe and perhaps also enjoy the novelty for a little while. That said, it was wonderful to welcome back some sunshine over the weekend.

Congratulations to Daniel in 4/5 Munson who today received Bronze and Silver Mathletics certificates in our Tuesday Morning Assembly. It is great to see that people are using this program at home. If you have not already got access and would like the details on how to do this for your child, please contact your child’s class teacher.

New Kinder building

Last week saw some big changes in our school grounds, with the removal of many truckloads of dirt and early this week, the pouring of footings for the new kindergarten building. Whilst there is still a long way to go, it seems that each day sees more and more progress, which is very exciting.

COVID-19 update – Physical Distancing for Adults

A reminder that whilst a number of the restrictions we had in place during Term 2 have been able to be eased somewhat this term, it is still very important that we ensure appropriate physical distancing of 1.5m between adults.

I know that many parents like to catch up with each other whilst picking up children at the end of the day and normally this would be fully encouraged and supported, however given the current climate, we ask that this be kept to a minimum and that distancing between adults is observed whenever possible. Whilst this doesn’t feel terribly friendly, it is important for us all to keep safe.
