Principal's Report 1-9-2020
It is wonderful to be back at Glen Huon after my unplanned break! Your children are a delight and I had a wonderful warm reception from them. They remain happy, friendly and caring. What a special place.
I would like to thank Erika Lees for her leadership during my absence.
It was sad that my return coincided with the demise of our beautiful oak tree. I have loved this tree and the story of the seasons it has told every year. The removal of the tree was imperative as it was deemed a public danger. The children were very sad to see it being removed. We will replace the tree and have a ceremony to remember the old one. If anyone in the community would like input into this ceremony please contact the office. We know that Millie Watson planted the tree in 1912. We are not sure why Millie was chosen to undertake this task and would love to hear from you if you know any more about it.

With the arrival of spring the UV ratings will increase so please drag out hats ready for use as already this week there is a predicted UV of 3 on Thursday. The swapping from beanie to sunhat regularly is special to Tasmania.
