Explorations in bundling (place value)

Grade Three have been learning about place value. We made up a number using dice and then created that number using the technique of bundling. We used match sticks. Some were singular and so they were ones and others we put into bundles of ten. Then we put them together to make one hundred.

We glued our match stick bundles to a piece of cartridge paper in the correct columns.

Some were very colourful.
