2021

I have made the very hard decision to retire at the end of this year.  In order for the school to start with a substantive Principal for 2021 the Department will advertise the Principalship of Glen Huon in the next week.  This ensures a smooth transition.  I hope to leave the school in great shape for the incoming Principal. The Kindergarten will be completed, and classrooms updated with fresh painting, new lighting and carpets. The learning program is driven by the goals in our strategic plan and will be ongoing.  The very intensive maths professional learning provided by Steph will continue to guide improvements in our numeracy outcomes.  During this term our teacher learning team will continue to work together to improve every child's learning outcomes at Glen Huon.  We will be undertaking a range of testing to help us identify focus areas for the student's future learning.  

Athletics Carnival

Information regarding the athletics carnival will be coming home today.  It is intended that it will be held on this coming Thursday.  Parents are welcome however will need to fill out a COVID tracing form and follow physical distancing advice.  We will need volunteers to help out on the day.  

AUSLAN

We were successful in gaining a languages grant which will enable the classes to learn AUSLAN during this term.  This is starting this week.  It would be great to explore the language with your child.
