Place Value
Last week Mrs Webb joined me to attend a Professional Learning day to increase our understanding of Place Value. Led by Professor Dianne Siemon we reminded ourselves how Place Value is one of the ‘Big Ideas’ in Mathematics, how it links with the other key concepts and how misunderstandings can lead to challenges with these later on.
We are inspired to bring many of the tasks and learning experiences to all of our Glen Huon’s classrooms.
