Prep Report
The Preps have set up a Publishing House! We have voted on a name and a logo and are busy writing our first book. We have been inspired by the Black Book of Colours by Menena Cottin to make our own book of colours. Each week there is a new colour provocation set up and the children eagerly await Mondays to see what has appeared in the classroom over the weekend! We have been brainstorming words associated with each colour and using these for a spelling inquiry. Together we use these words as inspiration for the next page of our book. Blue looks like blueberries and blue jelly
Blue sounds like the waves
Blue smells like blueberries and water at the beach
Blue feels like cold ice in the Winter
Blue tastes like blue drinks, blueberries, blue ice cream, blue lollipops
This week we are working on our orange page and I can’t wait to see what the children come up with!
