Principal's Report 25/05/2021
Student illness
We are experiencing a lot of illness at the moment and thank parents for supporting us and our whole school community by keeping students at home when they are unwell.
A reminder that children should not be sent to school if they are feeling unwell and have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Runny nose
- Cough, sore/itchy throat
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
- vomiting
Children should only return to school once these symptoms have passed.
In order to protect the health of everyone in our school community we ask that families continue to support us by keeping your children at home if they are at all unwell.
We acknowledge that this can be very challenging for parents who work, but it is so very important, in order to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
Sharing Assembly
Our next sharing assembly is coming up on Monday 7th June. Please contact the school office if you wish to attend so that we can ensure we have adequate seating set up. All visitors are asked to sign in at the front office and a hand sanitisation station is provided at the entry to the Assembly Hall.
Huon FM visit
Yesterday Eamon and Neve visited Huon FM to deliver a report on some of the things which have been happening in our school since the beginning of term. They both spoke extremely well and enjoyed the experience of being able to have a look at a live radio studio.

Newsletter engagement
We are looking at finding ways of improving engagement with the school newsletter. At the last School Association meeting a number of parents indicated that they would appreciate having a paper copy, as this can go on the fridge or somewhere else where it can be looked at later rather than the email disappearing further down the inbox when people are busy.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE PAPER COPIES OF THE NEWSLETTER PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE ?
We also discussed the fact that students may not be getting much opportunity to engage with the newsletter when it is digital form. Each class will now be getting a ‘Class Copy’ of the newsletter and teachers will be able to read this to students and make them aware of it’s content too.
Desktop Computers for Sale
We have 7 computers for sale with Monitors, power cables. These are only 3 years old and are being replaced by laptops as they take up less space in classrooms and are more flexible in their use.
The specifications of the computers for sale are listed below and we are asking $150 per computer.
Please contact the office if you wish to purchase one of these.
