Thank you and congratulations to everyone for the supportive and sensible way in which the recent COVID-19 restrictions were undertaken. I am sure I am not alone in saying that it was a great relief to be able to take off our facemasks on Friday afternoon and it certainly made me appreciative of just how very lucky we have been to date in Tasmania during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is important that we continue our COVID safe behaviours and encourage everyone to:
- continue to practice good hygiene by washing your hands regularly and coughing into your elbow
- maintain physical distancing where possible
- stay at home if you have any cold and flu symptoms and for parents to arrange a COVID test
- use the Check In TAS App if you enter a school site
Pre-Kinder sessions
Our Pre-Kinder sessions for children beginning Kindergarten at our school 2022 are coming up on the following dates:
- Wednesday 3rd November
- Wednesday 10th November
- Wednesday 17th November
- Wednesday 24th November
- Wednesday 1st December
Each session will run from 1:30pm-2:45pm with Mrs Jungmann and Mrs Carson in the Kindergarten room.
These sessions are an important opportunity for your child to build confidence about coming to school next year. Children start getting to know each other and our staff. They will also become familiar with our wonderful Kindergarten building and the school grounds.
During these sessions parents are required to remain on site. Parents are welcome to stay in the room for the first session until children are settled in and then parents are welcomed to the staffroom where a simple afternoon tea will be provided.
From the second session onwards Mrs Lees will be offering some information sessions for parents during this time on what to expect in the Kindergarten year and ways to prepare and support your children in preparation for coming to Kindergarten.
