I would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers for the year - Cypress Faludi, April Yates, Emily Hill, Narelle Allan, Simone Watson, Jess Dillon and Juliet Forno. Without these wonderful ladies giving up their time we wouldn’t have been able to run the canteen.
We will be asking for volunteers again in February next year. If you know that you want to get involved for a couple of days each term in the canteen, please call or message Laura on 0437177507.
If you have sold your raffle tickets and need more, they are available at the office.
Please get those tickets sold and return to the office so you don’t miss out! Tickets must be returned by Friday 16th December.
Student Wellbeing and Engagement Survey
The Student Wellbeing and Engagement Survey for Year 4, 5 and 6 students is a universal approach to supporting student wellbeing and has provided our school with wellbeing data to support our improvement planning around student wellbeing. This week we are highlighting our school data from the Material Basics domain, which shows the importance of learners having material to access and fully participate in education, and the resources to function well and actively engage.

One of the musical highlights this term has been Marimba Mania. The marimba group made their way to Princes Wharf 1 in Hobart 11th November. The students performed with about 14 other schools which consisted of approximately 250 children. The team felt quite nervous to start with but after going through the rehearsal they gradually gained their confidence and were well prepared for their performance in front of parents and friends later that evening. This was such a great opportunity to perform with so many others and in a different performance space to what the students are used to.

Primary Schools Hobart Triathlon
Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Primary Schools Hobart Triathlon last Friday 2 December. It really was a wonderful demonstration of determination and courage.
Thank you also to Miss Webb for accompanying our team on the day, to Mr West who organised the tent and the registrations, and to all the parents who came along to support students on the day.
Students from P/1, 4/5 and 5/6 performed musical items on this weeks Sharing Assembly.
The Prep/1’s demonstrated how angelic they really are when they sang ‘I Caught a Little Baby Bumble Bee. The Year 4/5’s showed how creative they are with composing music to accompany a shadow puppet production and the 5/6’s brought out their inner rebel when they performed ‘The Test’ which is a body percussion piece.
Congratulations also to our school captains Talara, Ashlegh and Elsie on hosting their last assembly before they move on to High School next year.
On Tuesday this week our robotics students who have been working with Mr Ryan this year visited Illawarra Primary School for a competition day. This was a great way for students to showcase what they have learnt this year, solve problems, think creatively and have a bit of fun along the way. Mr Ryan was also impressed by how well the students all worked together, both as a team and in getting along with the Illawarrah Primary School Students.
