Tuesday 16 May was Education Support Personnel Day.
This special day recognises the incredible work our Education Support Personnel do each and every day. A special morning tea was held to recognise and thank these incredibly valued people on our staff team.
We have an absolutely amazing team of Teacher Assistants and other support staff who are highly skilled, endlessly dedicated, and who support our students and our staff in so many ways.
Thank you to all of you for your commitment to our school.
We have numerous polar fleece jackets and windcheaters that have been neglected by their owners. Since no one has come to claim them they are to be given away.
So please feel free to help yourselves.
What a spectatular day we had for our Cross Country Carnival last Thursday!
Congratulations to everyone for your wonderful participation and the way you helped and encouraged each other.
Whilst participation is always our first priority, congratulations also go to Tahune for winnning this year's carnival.
Thank you also to Mr West for organising this great school event and to all the people who helped get things ready, including Rob who helped prepare the track and put up the tents.
The canteen is open Thursdays at recess and lunch selling snack items. We accept cash only at the canteen.
Next week's special will be pizza. Please make sure you get your order in on the Spriggy app by 10am Wednesday to save missing out.
Thank you for your continued support.

The morning rush to leave the house is often the most stressful part of the day for parents of school children. Making sure your children are up, washed, dressed and have had a decent breakfast can be an uphill struggle, and if you’re trying to get to work yourself, it can be even more stressful.
At Glen Huon Primary School, we have something called The Breakfast Club. It runs from 8:30 - 8:55 am Monday to Friday and is staffed by volunteers from the Parents and Friends Association. We serve toast and milo to any student that would like something. Some days we have other things such as yoghurt, porridge, pikelets or grilled cheese on toast, depending on what donations we receive.
Our Breakfast Club at Glen Huon is largely funded by the school. We receive some donated bread from Banjos Bakery also we get some items from Foodbank when we are able to get into the city.
If you would like to donate, we are always open to donations of bread, milk, jams, honey, milo, butter, self-raising flour, eggs, cheese or nut free spreads.
Thank you for supporting the breakfast club that supports our children.

Maths Group Activity
Hello everyone, one of our maths group activities included addition using Cuisenaire Rod pictures.
Using the key to how much each block is worth, can you work out how much this picture is ‘worth’?
Happy adding ?

We have been having a wonderful time in our Launching Into Learning program, Seedlings. So many friendly families and joyful children!
We always have a focus on sensory play, offering messy activities families might not often do at home which provide rich learning and language experiences.
Seedlings is on every Wednesday and Friday from 9 - 11am during school term, and we invite everyone with children aged 0 - 5 to come along and join us!
On Wednesdays we are in the Kinder room for an open playgroup style session, and on Fridays during terms 2 and 3 we are in the Hall for our Kindergym and Storytime sessions. In Terms 1 and 4 we move into the bush for Bush Playgroup.
