PJ DAY!!!
Wear your pyjamas to school on Thursday 6th of July!
Sleeping lions with Katie and Lani at lunch!
No money needed!
In preparation for our excursion to Parliament House today we participated in a role play and mini information session with the House of Assembly educators last Monday. We formed a government of our own and had a go at passing a bill to have swimming pools in every Tasmanian school. Our three candidates, Dash, Katie and Tobias, did a brilliant job of trying to convince us of their arguments and in the end, the majority of votes went to Katie and her motion to have a pool in some schools while other schools have different facilities, such as bike tracks and skate parks. We could then share the facilities and enjoy being more physical in school time. We saw the gallery where we will be sitting to watch the proceedings today and we had a guess at some of the topics we might hear discussed. We think they should be talking about the cost of living, our environment, medical care, local jobs and businesses. We will be listening with keen ears to learn more about these topics.
Sadly, this has also been our last week with Miss Cordwell. We have been very lucky to have Maddi with us in class over the past four weeks. Maddi has been on a practicum from UTAS as she is just beginning her teaching career. We wish her every success and will miss having her in our classroom.
