Going Home Arrangements
As most of you would be aware, we have an early bus which leaves for Huonville at 2:45pm and then 2 late buses which go to Judbury and Lonnavale. Other students walk home or are picked up.
Each class has a clipboard where going home arrangements are recorded and teachers make notes of any changes to normal going home arrangements which they have been notified about. This clipboard then goes down to the office at the beginning of the school day.
Any phone calls we receive via the office about changes to going home arrangements are put onto an orange slip and attached to the clipboard so that teachers know if there have been any additional changes to going home arrangements.
Occasionally we have a student tell us verbally that they are going home in a manner different to their normal schedule. Every now and then this has included students trying to change going home arrangements without the permission or knowledge of their parents/guardians.
Please note that for duty of care purposes, unless we have had direct contact from parents/guardians either with a note or a phone call, students will be sent home via the pre-arranged schedule. This means parents/guardians MUST make direct contact with the school to change going home arrangements, not just ask students to let their teachers know.
Our Student Representative Council Treasurer and Secretary visited Huon FM this week to deliver the Term 3 School Report. Katie and Poppy both showed great confidence and courage when they were in the radio station speaking live on air.

Sharing Assembly this Monday 18 September at 1:50 for a 2:00pm start.
Families are invited to come and celebrate our learning.
In order to help us keep everyone as safe and well as possible, please only attend if you are fully well.
Do you have spare Woolworths Wonders Cards? Mrs Lees is putting together Snap Sets using spare cards for people to play with during recess and lunch.
If you have spare cards, please drop them in to the office.
When: Friday 29th September (last day of term)
Where: In the school hall.
What: Each person can bring up to 5 clean, working, unwanted items to the hall in the morning. You will be given one token per item and this token can be used to purchase other items when the swap shop opens at recess and lunch. Grade 5/6 are promoting reuse and recycle throughout the school and this is one of the fun activities they have planned.

Canteen/Athletics Carnival Sausage Sizzle
The Canteen will be running a sausage sizzle next week for the Athletics Carnival.
There will not be an open canteen for the students to purchase snacks.
The Parents and Friends Association will be running a sausage sizzle for the Athletics Carnival on Thursday. Forms will be sent home with students today.
Please fill out and return with money by Tuesday 19th September to make sure your child doesn’t miss out.
Please note, one student per form. There’s a bit of work organising orders and we ask that you help us by only writing one child’s order on each form.
