An early reminder that our annual Glen Huon Water Specactular will be held on the last day of term. Detailed information will come soon.
This is the last week for Smarties this year - and what an amazing year it's been! This week we will be out and about celebrating the end of term.
On Wednesday Smarties and Pre-Kinder are going to the park at the Huonville Esplanade to have a play and a bbq, sausages provided but if you want to bring a plate of salad or dessert that would be lovely! We will be there from 11:00 - 1:00, we can't wait!
On Thursday we are going on our much anticipated bushwalk to Northwest Bay river. We will be meeting at the Sandfly cricket grounds carpark at the revised time of 9:30, returning by 11:30. If you wish to bring a snack to share we'll have a little picnic by the water.
On Friday we will be taking some of our obstacle equipment up to the Glen Huon park from 9:00-11:00 for some outdoor fun! There'll be bubbles and ribbon twirlers and lots of things to play with. We'll have a shared morning tea and sing some songs to end the year.
We hope to see you there!

Happy reading, Mrs Black
Our skipping marathon is off to a good start this morning with the whole school participating in a skip off. Our goal for today is to have one person at a time from each sporting house skipping from 9am-3pm! At last look we were on track and doing well. Thank you Mr West for setting us this challenge. I am certain this will be a record breaker for Glen Huon Primary.

Here’s a sparkly challenge to help you to practise considering ‘alternative’ approaches.
Grade 1/2 are learning about Mr Grump. He is a very unhappy person but little Lydia made a heart for him because a heart shows love and kindness.
Will it make him smile?
On Friday 6th December, 24 Glen Huon Primary students braved horrible conditions at Bellerive Beach for the Schools Triathlon Challenge. With wind, rain, hail and occasionally hot sun we really got a taste of all four seasons.
Our students did a wonderful job of representing our school! We had some terrific results, with many students undertaking the Triathlon for the first time and being supported by our more experienced students throughout the day.
It was great to see students pushing their comfort levels, working as a team, achieving personal bests. A special thank you to all parents who assisted with organising and supporting students, especially Deanne Murtagh who went above and beyond with her assistance and support, as well as Miss Stephanie van der Schans who braved the conditions with us!

Despite freezing water, blowing winds and transition stations scattered amongst the thousands of people, Glen Huon gave their very best last Friday.
Here’s some of the action captured on the day…
