Grade 5/6 Band workshop
Six of our students recently attended a 2 day Band workshop in Hobart as part of their instrumental lessons. This was a wonderful opportunity to practice and perform with a larger group of students from schools right across Hobart. Thank you to the parents who helped with transport to and from Hobart on both days and also to Miss Emma Cooper for helping to provide this to our students.
During Song Room Lessons today, the 2/3 class enjoyed making their very own instruments. A number of students got so excited and enthused about this that the instruments then also came out at recess time. What a great way to learn about resonance and to experiment with everyday materials to create things that can assist us with song and rhythm.
A reminder that our next sharing assembly is coming up on Monday 6th September. Please contact the office if you wish to attend and remember to check in at the office as well as using the COVID Tas App.
Our Athletics Carnival is coming up on Thursday 23rd September. It will again be held Glen Huon Oval. More information will be coming out soon, but families may like to add this date to their calendars
