Mid - Year Reports
It is important that you have a phone conversation with your child's teacher before the end of the term. Booking slips have gone home and should be returned to school as soon as possible. Confirmation slips will be coming home this week. As this is a very different way of reporting due to COVID restrictions it is vital that a phone session occurs, it is a way in which we can work together to improve learning outcomes for students.

Buy Something Tasmanian
The head of state service Jenny Gale has written to all state service employees urging us to buy something Tasmanian. There has been a website set up by Brand Tasmania, the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Tasmanian Government to help us find and purchase Tasmanian produce. Here are the links for you to have a look at. https://buysomethingtasmanian.com.au/ https://buysomethingtasmanian.com.au/tourism/
The children in Class 1/2 are investigating how stories can help us connect to our families, our place and our past.
The children are currently thinking of a story they can tell about their lives, particularly in relation to the changes to our lives since the Coronavirus pandemic. These stories will be told in various ways, decided upon by the children, such as - painting, plays, puppet shows, writing, storytelling or by video. The children were asked to think of a way that a story could be told and some of their thinking can be seen below.
Noah – through sign language.
Pippa - by writing it on a piece of paper.
Tiarna – through your feelings. Dancing or singing, if it’s a happy story.
Lucy – by acting it out.
Hugh – by singing the story.
Belle – play the story on an instrument and change the chords when it’s a different emotion.
Emma – through a dance.
Hannah – you could dance it using different emotions.
